Are you interested in devising your own work but don’t know where to start?

How do you devise theatre with an emphasis on physical storytelling? In this workshop, we’ll dive into the foundations of physical theater devising techniques to learn how to create everything from scenes, sequences, and text elements that ultimately inform a full show!

By deconstructing the devising process into simple building blocks you will learn to generate a wealth of material and not be burdened by creating a show at once. Participants will learn tools for devising movement theater, using techniques inspired by Frantic Assembly and Moment Work to build original pieces. 

Expect a highly physical experience, including lifts, high-intensity warm-ups, and choreography, as we explore elements of Space, Shape, Spectacle, Time, Emotion, and Story to create imaginative work.
